VICE Partners with Brooklyn-based Web Group and Takes Home Five 2012 Webby Awards

Ashe Avenue Development partners with VICE to bring brand innovation world wide

We’re pleased to announce that the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences has awarded our client and partner, VICE, five 2012 Webby Awards.

The 16th annual international awards honor excellence on the Internet in four categories: website, online film and video, mobile and applications, and interactive advertising. VICE has partnered with Ashe Avenue since 2009 to oversee and support their internal technology needs across more than 30 global offices. Ashe Avenue developed and continues to maintain and support three of VICE’s award-winning websites: VICE.com, The Creator’s Project and Noisey.com.

“The Webby Awards honor the very best of the Internet,” said John McKinney, principal and co-founder, Ashe Avenue. “We are thrilled for VICE and honored to be involved in such a great partnership.”

The Creator’s Project won two Official Webby Awards, as well as a People’s Voice Award. Ashe Avenue partnered with VICE on the platform development, press resource management and mobile content creation leading up to the site’s launch in the summer of 2010.

Noisey.com was recognized twice as a Webby Honoree. Of the 10,000 entries submitted to the Webby Awards, only the top 10 percent were awarded the Honoree title. Ashe Avenue developed the back-end and CMS that runs Noisey.com and currently maintains the ever-growing site.

A list of both Webby Awards and People’s Voice Awards winners can be found here.
