We just launched two new Facebook tabs for Noisey that put you in control of the music:

Noisey Special Engagements is a unique series of musical performances featuring the coolest new acts in music at the most unexpected venues around the globe. From Austin, Texas, to London, England, Special Engagements events are streamed live online, giving fans a chance to control the action through online participation.
We created the platform for this online participation through the Noisey Special Engagements Facebook tab. The tab integrates videos, soundtracks and photos from the events with social media updates and discussions. Geotargeted to create a uniform global experience, the content appears in a different language depending on each visitor’s country.
Right now, visitors can contribute to the upcoming Holy Ghost! concert by submitting photos for their next music video, designing a new neon light for their stage set and voting on the electric piano they take on tour.
In the words of one Facebook fan, “This is going to be awesome ladies and gentlemen of the world who love live music.” We couldn’t have put it better ourselves.
This fall, indie band Neon Indian and rapper Kreayshawn will bring the Noisey concert experience to ten different campuses on the first-ever Noisey College Tour. All of the tour concerts will be free to students who RSVP and some will be open to the public.
We designed the Noisey College Tour Facebook tab to feature tour videos, an interactive tour map with show information for each concert and live Twitter feeds from @noisey_us and #DellUMusic. Also, you can listen to Neon Indian music through the embedded playlist while drooling over all of the exciting tour info.
Icing on top of the cake: Students can enter the Noisey(est) School competition on the Facebook page to win a free weekend trip to NYC, complete with tickets to live music and a tour of VICE’s headquarters.
